Thank you for contacting the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities (the "Department") Consumer Services Office (CSO) concerning your complaint involving Diamond Money Order Company, LLC.

The mission of the Department is to regulate financial services and work to ensure consumers and businesses are well-informed about the marketplace. We work to promote the safety and soundness of financial institutions and compliance with statutory requirements that provide protections to Pennsylvania residents. We work with a wide array of financial services institutions and professionals including banks, credit unions, trust companies, investment firms and professionals, mortgage lenders and brokers, and other consumer lenders. 

On February 1, 2023, the Department issued a cease-and-desist order against Diamond Money Order Company, LLC for engaging in conduct in violation of the Pennsylvania Money Transmitter Act. A copy of that cease-and-desist order can be found at the below web address:

The Department is aware of issues involving money orders drawn upon "Diamond Money Order Company" not being paid when presented for payment.

A representative of the Department will contact you by written letter through the United States Postal Service (USPS) if additional information becomes available. Please be cautious of any individual or entity offering to obtain restitution for a fee or other monetary consideration. Further, watch out for individuals alleging their ability to assist while seeking additional payment for fees, taxes, or other deposits. The Department will not text or call asking you to provide any personally identifiable information such as a social security number or bank account information.

Thank you for contacting the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities (the "Department") Consumer Services Office (CSO) concerning your complaint involving Diamond Money Order Company, LLC.

To proceed with your case for a refund request, please provide a copy of the following documents:

  1. The front and back of cancelled money order(s). OR
  2. If providing copies of the Money order(s) receipt(s). Must also provide a copy of the Communication/Letter from the Business or Bank the money order was given. If you do not have, contact them to request and email or fax to the below. Or provide this request to the business and ask them to email or fax to Consumer Services.
  3. The name and address of the payee.
  4. Copy of document showing if fees charged.
  5. Copy of your identification.

  1. Copy of the front and back of returned money order(s).
  2. A copy of the Bank returned check letter.
  3. The name and address of the consumer.
  4. Copy of document showing if fees charged.
  5. Completed and signed by consumer Third Party Authorization Form (attached).
  6. Copy of your identification.

Lost/Stolen Money Orders:

  1. Letter/Notice from Payee money order not cashed or received.
  2. Complete and mail the original Affidavit to the address below. It must be notarized.
