George Hindson is the Deputy Policy Director for the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities.
Raised in a small town in Luzerne County, George joined the U.S. Army at the age of 17 and served within he historic 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and the 175th Finance Command in the Republic of South Korea.
George began his career with the commonwealth in 2013 and has also served with the Department of Health and the Department of Human Services during his tenure. He previously worked in finance as a registered commodity/foreign exchange broker.
George earned his bachelor’s degree in International Politics from the Pennsylvania State University – University Park and Master of Public Administration degree from Shippensburg University. He has also obtained the Certified Government Financial Manager credential from the Association of Government Accountants.
